AmmoLand Shooting Sports News reported on October 15, 2026 that the Brownells BRN-180 SCNR complete upper, fitted with a 10.5-inch barrel chambered in .223 Wylde, is in stock at a price of $1,199.99.

According to AmmoLand, the upper charges from the side and runs on a piston system that does not use a buffer. The outlet says the design is built with suppressor use and folding stocks in mind.

The listing appears in AmmoLand's new product releases coverage. AmmoLand's post is brief and centers on the price and stock status rather than a full specification sheet.

The item is sold as a complete upper, which AmmoLand names in its listing, and the BRN-180 name places it in the Brownells product line.

Several details are not given in the AmmoLand report. The source does not state the upper's weight, overall length, handguard length or attachment system, muzzle device, finish, or what, if anything, is included beyond the upper itself. It also does not say which lower receivers the upper is compatible with, whether the $1,199.99 price is a regular price or a limited-time offer, how long stock is expected to last, or what warranty applies.

Readers looking for full specifications may find them on the maker's own product pages, which were not part of the source material for this article. Daily Gun News has not independently confirmed the price or availability.
